I just came across this blog where the author had just migrated his blog from a wordpress installation to blogger.
It is really a surprise for me since all I could read all over the net when I decided to start my blog was to stay away from blogger and host my own blog on my own server.
The author does have some compelling reasons also as to why he made the shift. You can read them here.
You can also read google guidelines on how to use a custom domain name with blogger and how to import and export blogs on blogger before taking any decisions.
