Microsoft file transfer manager is the fastest and best option to download files. The application gets installed as an activex once you try to download from a microsoft site.
Now, the question is.. how to resume a download if it gets terminated. You wont be able to find any trace of the file that is used to launch the application (No, you cannot find it either in the start menu or by doing a disk search)
once a download starts with Microsoft FTM, follow the guidelines -
This will place an icon of Microsoft File Transfer Manager on your desktop. All you need to do now if the download gets interrupted is to start File transfer manager again by clicking on the newly created icon and select Resume.
