Assume that you are on a vacation.. or some circumstance where you cannot check your mail. Would’nt it be wonderful if someone was there to reply to all incoming mails..
Here comes office Assistant to the rescue. It sends out a custom message to all incoming mails (just once for each sender). The feature is available in outlook 2003 and 2007. Here is how an out of office message can be configured :
1. Go to Tools -> out of office
2. Clik “I am currently out of Office” in the Out of Office Assistant dialog box.
3. Type your customized messageĀ in the autoreply only once to each sender textbox.
There are other options that you can try to configure such as :
- Creating a rule
- Deleting a rule
- Editing a rule
- Creating multiple rules
- Changing the order in which rules are applied
