Ok, I have downloaded the SP1. But are all my current software’s supported by vista ? The answer is “No”. A list of softwares not currently supported by Microsoft windows vista SP1 has been released by MIcrosoft. View it here.

Microsoft offers free unlimited installation and compatibility support for windows vista, but only for service pack 1 (Sp1). View Details here.

Pls keep in mind the following points also, before installing.

Installing  Windows Vista first and then Vista SP1 RC without first activating Windows Vista, will not allow you to uninstall the service pack. Hence, either activate Windows Vista before you install SP1 or activate SP1 before you attempt to uninstall the service pack.

When you install this Windows Vista service pack on a computer with low available disk space, the installer may delete previous System Restore points and shadow copies.
