The first step here is to enable keyboard shortcuts. This is how it can be done..
Enable Keyboard shortcuts. Go to Settings ->and set Keyboard shortcuts to ‘ON’
1. Inside Gmail, you can toggle between email messages using “j” and “k”. The arrow on the left keeps toggling between the messages. Just hit enter when the desired e-mail is selected.
2. When you enter a message which has a lot of threads, use “n” and “p” to toggle between threads. Believe me, it is really helpful when there is a huge number of threads in a single message.
3. To compose a new message, hit “c”.
4. To foward the message that you are viewing, hit “f”
5. To reply to the message, hit “r”.
